Lauren Cordwell, RWAV Acting CEO and Kate Temby, RWAV Senior Manager of Health Workforce Development, met with Victoria’s Cross Border Commissioner, Mr Luke Wilson, to discuss RWAV’s activities in improving healthcare access for Victoria’s border communities.
Around 120,000 Victorians live in border towns and districts along the State’s borders with New South Wales and South Australia, while the overall population on both sides of the borders reaches more than 300,000 people.
Rural Workforce Agency Victoria looks forward to further engagement with Victoria’s Cross Border Commissioner to help understand and address the health workforce and health care access issues Victoria’s border communities face.
