Many general practices across Victoria are being impacted by bushfires this season, and the demand for GPs in surrounding areas are expected to increase.
The scale of the bushfire crisis means that there will be an ongoing need for health professionals in Victorian communities. These communities are going to need support and medical coverage in the coming weeks and months.
RWAV is dedicated to supporting the retention of doctors in rural practice and supporting community health needs by providing high quality locum relief through the RWAV Locum Program.
RWAV places RACGP and ACRRM Fellowed GPs (or equivalent) across rural and regional Victoria. You can choose to work as an independent locum doctor, or as an RWAV employed locum.
RWAV is a not-for-profit government funded organisation and is a no-fee service for GPs to access. We will also assist you with placement negotiations, paperwork, credentialing provider numbers and induction guidelines for each placement.
If you are interested in supporting communities during this critical time please contact locum@rwav.com.au or call 03 9349 7800.
