This year, RWAV’s Health Workforce Needs Assessment (HWNA) identified a number of priority communities across Victoria. These are areas of high need based on General Practitioner (GP) demographics and practice numbers as well as health need, vulnerable populations, and potentially preventable hospitalisations.
In December, RWAV undertook the first of a series of facilitated workshops where representatives from local organisations collectively develop an action plan outlining health workforce strategies that address community needs. The involvement and local insight ensures the action plan incorporates initiatives that build capacity and improve access, quality, and sustainability of the local health workforce.
Stay tuned for updates on future workshops!
