Last week, RWAV’s CEO, Lauren Cordwell, had the opportunity to travel to Bairnsdale in East Gippsland to meet with the founding RWAV CEO who was at the helm for 10 years from 1997, Councilor Dr Jane Greacen OAM.
Dr Greacen currently works as a rural General Practitioner & occupational physician as well as the Deputy Mayor of the East Gippsland Shire Council.
It was an honour to hear about the inception of RWAV, and the history of many of the programs that still influence rural healthcare today, and that will shape ideas in rural healthcare in the future.
