Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) Grant
MMM 3 - 7 Plus all ACCO/AMS
On 20-21 February the RWAV Conference will be held along with a CPR Workshop on 19 February in person in Bendigo, Victoria.Â
You may be eligible to claim costs associated with the RWAV Conference:
- conference registration ticket
- travel
- accommodation
- workshops (CPR)
Eligible Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, General Practitioners, GP Registrars, including locums should apply prior to the conference. All HWSP eligibility criteria will continue to apply.
The Health Workforce Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care administered in Victoria by RWAV.
Conference registrants will be required to pay upfront and submit their application for Health Workforce Scholarship Program Grant BEORE attending the conference

Medical Professional Development Program (MPD)

Eligible General Practitioners, GP Registrars and Medical Interns should apply after the conference. All MPD eligibility criteria will continue to apply.
The MPD supports the ongoing professional development and medical education of medical practitioners in rural and regional Victoria.
The MPD is funded by the Victorian Government and administered by RWAV.
Conference registrants will be required to pay upfront and submit their application for Medical Professional Development Program Grant AFTER attending the conference.

Allied Health and Nursing Upskilling Grant

On 20-21 February the RWAV Conference will be held along with a CPR Workshop on 19 February in person in Bendigo, Victoria.Â
You may be eligible to claim costs associated with the RWAV Conference:

Eligible Counsellors, Diabetes Educators, Dieticians, Exercise Physiologists, Midwives, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Speech Pathologists may apply for this opportunity. Consult the full guidelines.
Applications open on the 1st of February 2025 and you must apply one business day before the first day of the conference/pre-conference workshops.
The Allied Health and Nursing Upskilling Grant is a competitive opportunity â submitting an eligible application does not guarantee that you will be approved.
Conference registrants will be required to pay upfront and submit their application for Allied Health and Nursing Upskilling Grant on or after 1st February 2025.

Business Training Grant

You may be eligible to claim costs associated with the RWAV Conference:
- travel
- accommodation (1 night)
- workshops (Business Training Workshop)
Eligible Practice Administrative Staff, Practice Managers should apply prior to the conference. All Business Traning Grant eligibility criteria will continue to apply.
The Business Training Grant for rural primary healthcare practices is funded by RWAV as part of the Australian Government Department of Health Rural Health Workforce Support program.
This grant is available to practices to support business related training or upskilling for Practice Managers or Administrative Staff employed at eligible practices in Victoria.
Conference registrants will be required to pay upfront and submit their application for Business Training Grant BEFORE attending the conference.

Cultural Safety Training
MMM 3 - 7 Plus all ACCO/AMS
On 19 February at the RWAV Conference a Cultural Safety Training Workshop will held in person in Bendigo, Victoria.Â
You may be eligible to claim costs associated with the Cultural Safety Training Workshop:Â

Eligibility Criteria
- Health professionals in the fields listed below who provide services full or part-time in the private or non-government primary health sector (e.g. general practice, private allied health practitioner or a non-government agency)
- Any health professional employed solely by the Victorian Government is not eligible to apply
- Health professionals must be working in Victoria
- Health professionals must work in an MMM3-7 location, or MMM1-7 if working in an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) or Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation (ACCHO).Â
- Students are eligible, provided they are studying a health discipline in one of the fields below, at a Victorian University or Victorian Tertiary Education Provider and must provide a valid student ID card that indicates Victorian University or Victorian Tertiary Education Provider
- Staff in non-clinical roles may be eligible on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of RWAV.
Conference registrants who meet the eligibility criteria for free CST will be required to pay upfront, and then will be reimbursed the workshop fee AFTER they attend the workshop and submit their receipt and certificate of completion.
