The videos also promote the amazing lifestyles and benefits of working in rural and remote Victoria. Dr Yousuf Ahmad – the Chair of RWAV highlights the importance of access, quality and sustainability of healthcare services in rural and remote Victoria.
Practice Principal – Dr Tianming Wang shares his experience as a practice principal in Violet Town and highlights the importance of ongoing personalised support provided by RWAV.
Fellowed GP – Dr Banafsheh Alhosein shares her passion for working in rural Victoria, her quality of life and connecting with the local community as well as the importance of being a fellowed GP to the community.
Locum Services– Dr Gabby Hall talks about the Locum service, its impact on local communities and the support she receives from RWAV to be placed at Aboriginal Health Services in rural and remote Victoria.
Rural Health Professionals Program (RHPP) – Lindsay Rose, a mental health social worker, shares his experience working in rural Victoria and the support he has received from RWAV to settle into a relaxed and rewarding lifestyle while supporting people in Swan Hill.
VicOutreach – Mandy Barter from Alpine Health shares the impact of RWAV’s support on the local community via the delivery of much needed specialist services to rural and remote Victoria.
Cataract surgery recipient- The video features Aunty Jemmes who shares her story on how her life has changed after undergoing eye surgery.
ENT surgery recipient – Eric received ENT surgery and shares his experience before and after surgery which was facilitated by RWAV in collaboration with the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and MDAS.
ENT Surgery recipient – Noah has significantly benefited thanks to the surgery he received for ENT complications and his mother Kim shares their experience. This was facilitated by RWAV in collaboration with the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and and MDAS.
Nutrition Program – VicOutreach supported 7 pilot nutrition programs in Victoria. Lake Tyers Health and Children’s Service shared the impact it has made to the Aboriginal community in Lake Tyers.
Outreach services – The impact of RWAV’s support to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services delivering much needed health services to rural communities.
Rural Ambassador – Nitin Madan talks about his journey in rural healthcare, being a rural ambassador and the support he has received from RWAV to pursue his career in Physiotherapy.
