RWAV is committed to maintaining services and programs as much as possible, while being guided by the information provided by the Australian and Victorian Government.
To support the continuation of our Outreach services we are providing the following advice to Outreach service providers and host facilities:
Preparing for a service
We recommend that service providers and communities/host facilities communicate prior to a planned outreach visit.
All travel for outreach visits must comply with government advice. Providers should be ready to respond to rapid changes to this advice as the situation evolves.
If a service provider (or a close family member) has recently travelled overseas, is showing signs of being unwell or has been in contact with individuals affected by COVID-19 then the service should not be provided.
Cancelled visits
RWAV understands that visits may be cancelled or rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the event of any changes please notify the Outreach team immediately on Vicoutreach@rwav.com.au. The RWAV team will be able to assist you to make future arrangements.
Telehealth
Telehealth may be an option for some services. RWAV is able to support suitable service providers to utilise telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to provide our service providers with the support in transitioning from face to face to telehealth delivery, any telehealth visits conducted in lieu of face to face services until 30 April 2020 can still be invoiced under the same face to face visit costing, specified under your current contract. Please submit your service reports and claims as usual.
As from 1 May 2020, face to face services that will continue as telehealth will fall under a new contract. This will imply a new visit cost. Please note, if you wish to proceed with telehealth funding, the existing face to face contract will be put on hold until face to face consultations can recommence.
Please contact RWAV on Vicoutreach@rwav.com.au to discuss the requirements of your new telehealth contract.
COVID-19
In the case of a confirmed COVID-19 infection, providers and services are encouraged to contact the Commonwealth Department of Health on 1800 020 080 to access rapid response teams.
If you suspect you may be at risk of COVID-19, please see the Self-Assessment Flowchart provided by the Department of Health and Human Services.
