What an insightful day at the Wodonga Round Table hosted by RWAV on July 18th!
Among the attendees were Allied Health, nursing and medical clinicians, the local council, AW Aboriginal Health Service, PHN, ACRRM, PPCC, and a representative from the office of Helen Haines MP.
Discussions covered key areas for better healthcare in rural and regional communities: We discussed RWAVâs Health Workforce Needs Assessment data and contributed more insights. We discussed cross boarder complexities in service delivery and funding arrangements, workforce shortages, and the stressed, overworked rural health workforce. We delved into the need for new/innovative supervision models, combining funding pools to enable more significant work to be done and the loss of face-to-face services in the community.
Taking all these insights, we’ve outlined six follow-up actions to keep the momentum going!
Weâre looking forward to our progress meeting in three months.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed
