Last week, the RWAV Outreach team held a Strategy Planning workshop, inviting the Community Grants Hub team (the Department) and RWAV CEO Lauren Cordwell. The primary aim was to discuss stakeholder engagement strategies for 2024-25. The team actively participated in discussions, contributing valuable insights and perspectives.
As part of the workshop, the Department participated in the Birrarung Wilam (River Camp) Walk, an Aboriginal Walking Tour. This experience provided the RWAV team and the Department with a deeper understanding of local Aboriginal culture, history, and connection to the land. Led by the Koorie Heritage Trust , the tour shared rich narratives and highlighted the significance of Birrarung Wilam as a gathering place for the local people. This cultural activity was integral to the workshop, enhancing the team’s perspectives and informing their engagement practices.
