We had the honour of having our incredible RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan) officer, Rekha Devdas, attending the smoking ceremony and Flag raising ceremony at the Cardinia Shire Council.
The smoking ceremony was a beautiful and meaningful experience, symbolizing the cleansing and purification of our surroundings. It was a reminder of the deep connection between people, land, and culture. The Flag raising ceremony was a powerful moment that showcased our commitment to unity and inclusivity.
We are immensely grateful to Rekha Devdas for representing us at these significant events. Her dedication and passion for reconciliation inspire us all to continue working towards a future of equality and understanding.
Let’s remember that reconciliation is not just a week-long celebration; it’s a lifelong commitment. Together, we can create a nation where all voices are heard, cultures are respected, and opportunities are equal for everyone.
