Cyclist’s Paradise
With over 100km of scenic roads to travel, the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail is one of Wangaratta’s most popular attractions. The trail stretches from Wangaratta to Bright, with connecting trails to the popular destinations of Beechworth, Rutherglen and Myrtleford. The routes are welcoming to all levels of cyclists, and you’re bound to sample some of the best produce of the region along the way.
Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues
Every November, Wangaratta throws the renowned Festival of Jazz and Blues which attracts jazz lovers from all around the world. The prestige of the festival has grown over the years, attracting well known international acts from the US and Europe, as well as homegrown talent. The festival will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year.
