RWAV and James Cook University Centre for Rural and Remote Health are seeking Expressions of Interest from rural health professionals interested in completing the Full Supervisor Training for New Supervisors.
This EOI is open to rural allied health professionals providing supervision or who intend to provide supervision in a clinical setting.
Priority will be given to Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, Dieticians and Counsellors* ; other health professions will be assessed on a case by case basis.
* Counsellors must hold an AQF level 7 or higher qualification in Counselling and must be registered with a relevant counselling professional association, such as the ACA or PACFA.
Benefits
- Subsidised costs: Participants may be eligible for reimbursement for course fees, travel and accommodation to complete the course through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program.
- Discounted course fees: Participants ineligible for reimbursement will receive a 10% discount on the course fees.
- Rural location: The face to face component of the course will be delivered in Shepparton, Victoria on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of November, 2024
- Rural content: The course is tailored for rural settings, giving you skills to handle common supervision challenges in the rural context
- PBA Approved: The course has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia for psychologists seeking to become Board-approved supervisors
